Esterhazy, Saskatchewan

Welcome to the website of the Town of Esterhazy.

Esterhazy is a prospering industrial and agricultural community of nearly 2,500 people located just west of the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border.

We have been aptly nicknamed the Potash Capital of the World because of the rich reserves located in the area. In addition to the two - and soon to be three - Mosaic mines, and one Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan mine located with minutes of town, Esterhazy is also home to Saskatchewan's Potash Interpretive Centre.

As a major service centre for the area, Esterhazy offers more than 80 categories of local and national franchises business that serves a trading area of 10,000 people. It is also a major centre for public services including health care and education.

Town of Esterhazy December 2012 Newsletter

The following Bylaw #388-82 will be enforced.

“No person shall discharge or cause to be discharged any storm water, ground water, roof run-off, subsurface drainage or other unpolluted water to any Sanitary Sewer, except with the written permission of the Town.”

Sanitary Sewer means a sewer which carries sewage, and to which storm, surface, or ground water are not intentionally admitted.
